Well not that frequently, but sometimes…

  • Until February of 2024 we provided paediatric Occupational Therapy (OT), however this has recently changed. Within DE and RT we typically provide services to clients from early ‘teenagehood’ into late adulthood. Howver, we are open to discussing referals for younger cohorts, especially where we may be the most appropriate team to provide a specific service or where there are no alternative options available.

  • Annie’s home base is currently in Nhulunbuy, in East Arnhem Land in the NT - but she is in Darwin monthly to see clients and also services Gapuwiyak and Ramingining.

    Jess is based in Darwin.

    We primarily service the East Arnhem and the Greater Darwin regions, however also provide remote services and are willing to travel where it works for the client and for us.

  • A key component of ‘person-centred practice’ is to provide support within the context of an individual’s daily life or environment. Green Ant aims to meet in a place of preference for the individual and/or their supporters, or in a place in which they feel most comfortable.

    Meetings or sessions typically take place at clients homes, in employment settings, in the community or at school.

    Private meeting rooms can be arranged where this is preferred by the client.

  • Green Ant is not currently an NDIS registered provider.

    This does not mean that we are unable to provide supports to NDIS participants, or that participants are unable to use their NDIS funding to access our services.

    Unfortunately, it means that only plan managed, and self-managed NDIS participants can access our services.

    As we contract Positive Behaviour Support through Woollybutt, who are an NDIS registered provider, agency managed NDIS participants can access our services via Woollybutt only.

    We are working towards our NDIS registration.

  • Yes, Green Ant’s services can be claimed under the NDIS, depending on your plan goals and funding categories.
    Developmental Education has it’s own line item within the ‘Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living’ category.

    Recreational Therapy can also be claimed through this category under ‘Other Therapy’.

  • Yes. Please note that we treat our NDIS participants and non-NDIS participants the same and charge the same fees. There are no rebates available for our services through medicare, private health funds or any alternatives schemes.

  • No. Many ‘NDIS service providers’ elect to remain unregistered. We will be commencing the registration process shortly, however expect it will take some time.

    Despite not being registered, we are very familiar with the workings of the NDIS, uphold the NDIS Code of Conduct in our practice and hold valid NDIS worker screening checks.

  • We provided Occupational Therapy services until early February 2024, however no longer have an OT on the team. If you want to get in to contact with our old OT Amy, reach out and we can put you in touch.

  • In the Top End of the Northern Territory, all you have to do is cast your attention the beautiful trees to find an amazing home built through the teamwork of the mighty green ants. They're up there, working together, operating in tiny, bustling communities and usually working towards a common, shared objective.

    Green Ants are some of the most underestimated and underappreciated little icons of the Northern Territory, in our opinion! They're praised for their healing properties by some, and used to add a little something extra to food and beverages by others.

    At Green Ant PCP, we wanted the business name to be age and gender-neutral and reflect the beautiful Territory in which we practice - but mostly, reflect our collaborative and community-based working style! We hope you like it.
